Summer Smith is Vice President - Programs and Consulting, reporting to Fannie Mae’s Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. Smith is responsible for consulting with business units across the enterprise to support Fannie Mae’s workplace-inclusion strategy and programming. This includes partnering with Human Resources to ensure a diversity and inclusion lens at every stage of the company’s talent management process and supporting the Diversity Advisory Council and Employee Resource Groups. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2022, Smith spent 15 years at Rolls-Royce. Her most recent role was VP, People - Defense, but she first started with the company by completing their Leadership Development rotational program. During her tenure, she held positions leading the company-wide strategy for talent and diversity and inclusion, as well as Human Resources Business Partnering roles. Smith also previously served on the board of National Action Council for Minority Engineers.
