Lisa’s role as a Regional Vice President with NeighborWorks America brings more than 20 years of community development, housing and public health experience to serve the needs of organizations within the Western region of the NeighborWorks network. NeighborWorks America is a congressionally chartered and funded nonpartisan nonprofit that creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their communities.

Prior to joining NeighborWorks in 2018, she served as the executive director of the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD), the first national advocacy organization dedicated to meeting the housing and community development needs of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.

Lisa also served her alma mater, UCLA, in several capacities, including assistant director for federal affairs, policy fellow at the Asian American Studies Center and policy analyst for the Chancellor's Advisory Council on Immigration Policy. In addition to teaching an undergraduate course and guest lecturing, she served as a mentor to graduate students at the School of Public Affairs as a Senior Luskin Fellow, and to undergraduate Native American, Pacific Islander and Native Hawaiian students as a mentor for the Supporting Undergraduate Natives program.

She is a former board member of the Little Tokyo Service Center, and also previously served on the boards of numerous advisory committees for government-sponsored enterprises and financial institutions.
